I agree, I got up this morning after having the nyquil and told my husband, well, at least my headache from being sick is eclipsed by the massive hangover I got from the nyquil "drunk" I was on last night (I am kidding, I had no hangover, but it was funny)  Tonight its not having the same effect.  I might have to attend AA classes, I build up a tolerance over night.

you may want to start with half a dose. I'm no dumper but I took Nyquil for 2 nights and it knocked me on my rear!

I even felt groggy the next morning. You should definitely get some sleep though!

And if you're in a pinch & can't get to the store for OTC stuff, try warm sal****er gargle with a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar added.  Salt has a drawing action & vinegar is an antiseptic.  Nasty tasting but it works.  Gargle it every 30 minutes or so.  If you get fever and/or more symptoms you need to see the doc.  Hope it's just a simple case of the sniffles and no more.
