That's awesome that you and your Hubby have stuck to the plan, congrats, but this thread is not about YOU, it's about a gal who had a sincere question...
true and I did answer her  but YOU asked:

"Have YOU or ANY of the folks blasting this gal EVER eaten sugar? Ever eat popcorn even though it could shred your pouch? Ever drink Soda? Wait to eat 20-30 after you drink and wait 30 minutes after your eat to drink? Do you drink out of a straw? etc.... It's tough to live in a glass house..."

Well, let's wait to see how you answer in a year... It's all good. I wish you guys ALL the best. Life can be soooo rewarding if we want it to be. Keep up the good decisions, and I am not interested in getting mixed up in any drama or hard feelings. Take care....

clearly you did not read what I said.   I specifically pointed out that a year from now I was sure I would indulge in some holiday treats but indulging this early out is NOT an option.

... and she got a sincere answer.  She should get some therapy to help her identify what makes her test the limits and sabotage her success with RNY, so that she can turn things around and make the most of this surgery.

i just know that if she were using my dietician my dietician would want her ass to come in to go over what she is doing.

so i guess I don't think it is ridiculous. someone who had surgery about the same time as me started eating snickers bars early out. The dietician wanted to talk to her to help her out

I'm not blasting her I just think that at 7 weeks out you are at your MOST compliant. she needs to reevaluate where she is

isn't that why we see a dietician? so they can help us with our crappy choices?

I'm not usually one to blast a person cause I've been there done that. But I think this person is setting themselves up for a rough ride

i think you make a lot of really good points here but this chick doesn't want to hear what you are saying either. she wants to be told it is ok to start chowing down on sugar. sugar is like crack to me so maybe that is why I came off a little strong here.

maybe she'll listen to YOU. I think I better stay off this thread now! lol

LOL me too! I just think that life is about making choices. ALL of us could tell someone something 1000000 times, even if it is obvious, unless THEY want to change, it will not happen, unfortunate but true... It's all good, I don't think a nut, a shrink, a dietician, personal trainer, etc will help this gal... It must come frome within... All we can do is offer positive support, advice, and let them run with the ball. It's all good

I love this post, Dan. This is a post from someone who is well aware of what it takes and what it's all about.

It's why you are successful!
