Steri Strip Allergy?
I found out with previous surgeries that my skin will blister from them. I made sure my doctor knew that and he put bandaids on me instead. One of the bandaids gave me a rash though. It is the adhesive for me. But when I had steri strips on I put vaseline on them to peal them off. NOW, I don't recommend you doing that until you talk to your doctor, but it came right off with vaseline.
I had an allergic reaction. Red & itchy, as you describe. I suffered through until my 2 week post-op appt, and the PA said "why didn't you take these off?". Ummm, cause you said not to, they would fall off naturally. He said he should have warned me that with my very fair (and sensitive) skin, I would likely have that reaction and they could have been taken off as soon as the reaction started.... thanks for telling me that AFTER I suffered!

Normal BMI (24.9) = 159#: would have to compromise my muscle mass to get here without plastics, so this is not a goal.
