Let me get this straight--you are saying I shouldn't post because I haven't had the DS yet, but you're OK with someone spreading misinformation who has never had nor ever intended to have a DS.

Brilliant.

Not to mention she was trashing the DS in another thread she started talking about how much animal fat and bacon and sausage that DS'ers eat that Jimmy Dean should pay for people to get a DS.  Since you know DS people don't have any restrictions and all we do is eat bacon all day.  So she is just as guilty of spreading misinformation as anyone else.  Of course her entire post was utter BS.

The blue unicorn is insanely jealous and angry that she chose the wrong surgery, what with her pepperoni pizza habit that she can't control, even at less than 3 months out.

Wait --

Weren't you the one who started a post about two weeks ago stating that DS'ers shouldn't get the WLS cards because they didn't have restriction?

So posting inaccurate and false information is alright, but those who have studied the surgery in and out that they are going to have and are correcting the falsities associated with it are in the wrong?

You still trying to justify your unhappiness at NOT being permitted to eat pepperoni pizza like you've done at least 14 times by your own admission ANYWAY since your RNY just a few months ago??  If you'd have had the DS, you would not be in nearly the emotional doo-doo over it as you are with your RNY.

FAIL!!

I on the other habd have gone up to 2 weeks without my 4 vitamins a day and sufer not at all

So you think.

Pre-op I felt perfectly fine, and even at 453lbs, being young, I was the picture of good health, clean arteries, not a single co-morbidity but I was a walking vitamin defeciency. My surgeon was concerned asking me if my periods were heavy or if I felt tired all the time. No I said, I felt great, I mean fat...but just fine why? Because he said, you need iron transfusions NOW, like four of them. And you need B12 shots, and lots and loooots of vitamin D.

I FELT perfectly fine. I was walking around, with perfectly normal insides completely and utterly disasterously tanked on Iron.

I went a week without taking vitamins once other than beating myself up with guilt, I felt perfectly fine, **** Diana herself has admitted routinely to DS newbies it took her near three months to get on track. Your friend had no way of knowing how vitamin defeciency PRE-OP would have made her feel, her feeling that way could have nothing to do with her DS. But how her body reacts period. Mine, well like I said, iron completely in the tank pre-op walking around peppy and perfectly fine.

OK I'm sorry but what a crock of ****  There is no way that your friend feels ill from not taking her vits for two days.  Honestly, come with something better then that.  Are you sure she did not say two weeks or two months??

The DS is DEFINITELY too good to be true FOR ME! No problems or issues with eating, no bathroom issues, perfect labs, I can eat anything. Life with the DS is absoluteky amazing for me...honest!

But I wanted to post to you becasue the situation with your friend doesn't sound right at all.  She should probably speak to her surgeron. There are options for her that include taking devrom or flagyl, maybe she has an infection like c-diff? Poor thing. Things don't sound right with her at all. What she's going through is definitely NOT normal for a DSer. I've NEVER experienced anything like what you describe!  And feeling bad for not taking her vitamins? It's habbit for me now but early out it wasn't. I forgot all the time and I never felt bad. that's really odd. I feel bad for her. Have her call her surgeon!!!!
