This post was not addressed to you.  It wasn't about an "opinion" either -- the changing insurance policies issue is a FACT, not an opinion.  Again, if you don't like what I write, and it makes you feel bad about your decision, DON'T READ WHAT I WRITE.

As for your "opinion" that I shouldn't state MY opinion in a way that you don't like, to whomever I like?  Tough titties.  Block me.  Please.

RNY people.......Your better off just skipping by these DS threads that come up every few days. Its always hostile. I'm not sure but when the DS is preformed it may bypass some nice hormone receptor thingy LOL.......wouldn't you agree most of the DS folks who jump on this band wagon to beat up the RNY folks are just mean?

So my RNY brothers and sisters. Please lets agree to not even read this crap any more. It is hostile and just unnecessary. So lets skip on by.

The newbies can figure it out for themselves. All surgeries have negatives. All a newbie need do, is google DS nutritional deficiency, or DS diarrhea, or DS body odor, or DS complications. DS regain, (yes it can happen, I know someone it happened to)Newbies are smart. Lets leave.

The DS bully's really post for the argument, cant you all tell. They simply thrive on anger and conflict. Thats why they do this. So, come on RNY people, lets leave this crap alone!

Have a great weekend!

Yup, we thrive on anger and conflict -- and you posted here WHY??

I want to thank you for your continuing campaign of posting on these DS threads, in particular ones that are NOT DIRECTED TO YOU as being too late for this thread to help -- but every time you do, you INCREASE our hit and post count, thus making the post more interesting to newbies to read.  So THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT of exactly what I am trying to do.

You finger wagging, regretful hungry newbie.  Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out the door!

As for you pre-ops, if you want to get REALLY scared, go take a look at the Revisions forum: http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/revision/  You won't see many DSers posting about needing a revision, but HOO BOY, look at all the RNYer and Lapbanders there!

You know...I googled the things mentioned in your post and found nothing about nutritional deficiency..that was much different in how they described what was needed for RNY as well post -op.  Body odor ...nothing,.     regain ..nothing.

Did you actually find some research that says these things are problematic..please share.

I take offense to your comments about DS land, DS people, and Diana. To suggest that every DSer out there thinks with one brain is ludicrous--just like not every RnYer or Lap Band patient thinks/feels/acts the same way. You are participating in the very behavior you are condemning. You may not appreciate the intent of Diana's original statement but if you would go back and objectively read what she said though the eyes of a pre-op then I think you might see her advice as the valuable information that it is.

Here is some food for thought for you:

What part of check out all the WLS choices before you have surgery from a surgeon who does all WLS is bad advice?

Why is suggesting to initially make the best WLS choice for an individual patient instead of planning on falling back on the idea of revision bad advice for anyone?

These threads turn into surgery wars because these simple suggestions are for some reason scary/threatening for some people, why is that?

*****************************************************************************************************

My wish is that everyone out there to makes the best WLS decision for their needs/lifestyle/post-op commitments based on factual information and not rumor or innuendo. No one surgery is for everyone and that is why doing your research pre-op is so important.
