Oooh!  I feel your pain.

Back in the day (1992) I had my VBG which is a restrictive only surgery and the only advice given by my surgeon was "try it, and if it stays down, you can eat it."  For some reason, ramen noodles have NEVER worked for me, even now.  I only have a little restriction left after the staples failed, but even now, if I try to eat ramen noodles, they get stuck and within 10 minutes, I'm saying hello to them on their way back through.  I found there are foods that no matter how much I chew them, they just won't go through (shrimp, potatoes, bread and ramen noodles.)  You'll be making your own "permitted but not tolerated" list soon, I think, and you're better off without ramen noodles.  They are loaded with calories.

Good luck and glad you're feeling better!

I haven't had them post op, but even before surgery I felt ramen noodles were "sticky".  Also, the ramen broth is very high in sodium.  I'd pass on them anyway, even without noodles...

I made the mistake of eating  Ramen noodles too thinking they would be ok. Girl, I was was rolling around on the floor in pain. It was horrible.  As much as I love'em I will never stick another Ramen noodle in my mouth.
So sorry you had this experience.

Okay, you will have to really take the time to educate yourself on nutrition - you really need to.  Top Ramen is a fried noodle.

If you are going to eat carbs - and I'd stay away this early out, eat complex carbohydrates.

Read books like "You on a Diet" and Bob Greene's  books.  There is so much out there.

Veronica, you have done the most drastic thing WLS to lose the weight.  Please promise yourself to succeed at eating right, taking ALL your supplements, and exercising.  That will insure you lose all your excess weight and keep it off (that is the hardest part - but you can if you develop good habits right out the gate - have you any idea how many people REGAIN after weight loss surgery?  It is real, very real)  Take care of yourself.

Best,
Leila

My doc says I can try anything soft at this point, just chew chew chew.  When I can't come up with something, I have a protein shake and call it good.  All you need to work on right now is getting the protein in.  I like scrambled egg with a splash of milk and cheese.  My doc also allows mashed tater at the point.  I made some from scratch, added sour cream and cheese.

I hate to see you eating ramen, it's so bad on many levels.  I ate some Campbell's creamed soup with milk , more protein.
