Sure listen to someone who is a newbie instead of someone who as experience with a stricture.  Be a I know everything person.  This is a support forum.  She was offering support and you got snarky.  So that's the way you want it.  Loris

As I replied earler to fireofsorrow, if I had been asking for advice, I would have welcomed it.

I object to the tone of the response, not it's content.  If someone wants to be supportive, then they need to think about how that offered support sounds. Treat people as you wish to be treated.

Thanks guys! He most def is a keeper. I think the most important thing is the meats were cooked and degreased and there was no grease in my ramakin after he baked it. Plus he really pureed the hell out of it but it still was the flavor my head hunger was craving. Good luck!

Does it say on your food schedule that you can have pork at this stage even pureed?    Loris

Glad to hear that he left the crust out of the puree.  Glad your pouch is happy.  I pureed meatloaf during this stage, just wanted to have things that I made for my hubby.  Take care.

You have something lots of wls-ers would kill for and that is the support and love of your significant other.  Does he have a single brother?  Only kidding but keep an eye on the pepperoni and sausage it really could be a little too much especially since you are new to this.  I would consider this a once in awhile thing but that was nice of hubby to do this.

That is very sweet of him..you are going to be very successful in your journey with him by yourside...
only thing is...it is to early for  beef and pork...(you should introduce them around 3 months)

I would have hubby put some grilled chicken or turkey in with maybe a sprinkle of the cheese and no more than a tsp of the sauce and go for it!  (With caution)

your gonna do great

Your husband is sweet, but honestly (and not to be harsh), these aren't the types of foods you should be eating, pureed or not. I agree that it's too soon for beef and sausage. Sausage isn't something I will ever eat again - too fattening and not good for you, and I severely limit beef even at almost 2-1/2 years out. Be careful that you don't go back to the types of foods that got us heavy. Sauces, cheeses, pepperoni, sausage, - these just aren 't the best choices for gastric bypass patients. I remember so well the cravings, but if you just try to get by them, you will be so much better off. It's actually harder if you try to eat the wrong things in moderation. Snacking can be easy; especially the further out you get. If you continue to eat the wrong things, you may make the journey so much harder for yourself. I'm honestly just trying to help. This journey is hard. Try to really limit those types of things. It's not necessarily good just because you can puree it. He did the right thing by trying to drain the grease though. Sounds like you have a wonderful hubby~!

(I think the smoked chicken with artichoke, garlic and mozarrella is the best but they have about 5 or 6 different flavors.)  I also use these without skin to make no-noodle lasagne in place of ground turkey which always seems dry to me.
