Loss of OH member
Loris, I am so sorry. I haven't been on the MB in a while but use to communicate with Renee and prayed many prayers that she would come through the complications she's experienced.
This is a sad day for all of us that knew Renee from OH.

So sad. I remember Renee and all of her complications. I remember her post after her brother had died(and their dad had died right before that). Even as sick as she was,Renee was there supporting her mom.
Renee was strong and she fought her heart out for 3 years. Never once did she say she regretted having WLS...she made it a point of telling people...research your surgeon and be certain that he is all that he states he is.
I think this particularly i****ting me hard because my best friend Ashley has been going through HELL since her RNY in Jan. Not only did her surgeon do a horrible job surgically but then he outright lied and attempted to alter her medical records. And the saga isn't over yet.
I've told more than one person...you are putting your life in your surgeon's hands...thoroughly research him. I am blessed with my extensive medical knowledge and the fact that I am friends with most of physicians in Vegas. I knew that I had chosen the best. I tease him...he is OVERLY obsessive and neurotic...but that's EXACTLY why I went to him.

I REMEMBER RENEE VERY WELL, HER AND I SHARED SOME SAME HEALTH ISSUES .."OUR HEART SURGERIES" PRIOR TO WLS.. I WAS JUST THINKING ABOUT HER THIS MORNING..MY JAW DROPPED TO THE FLOOR READING THIS NEWS...THANKS FOR INFORMING US. I WILL SAY A PRAYER. DID YOU SAY HER PASSING IS FROM THE INFECTIONS? .......Wendy
