SO what do you do when someone seeks you out to harass you and who chooses to hide their identity on  OH - The harassment is simply because your post was opposite to something they posted..... Scary that people use the board to come after others --- Ive been on here since 1999 - left for awhile in 2005 and came back 4 days ago  -- lots more people now so its different....  Just looking for a suggestion --- could it be a looney? a fake? that was a poblem that I recall.... but often easily taken care of....

 That person actually threatened me so I removed the posts --- VERY SCARY!!!!!!!!!!

I would report this person to the site administrators/moderators immediately so that they can address this for you.  People who are stalking you can be banned (including IP banned) so that they can't post.

Also, right below each person's post is a number of buttons.  If there's a bad post, click the 'report' button.  A window will pop up (you may have to turn off any script or pop-up blockers you have running on this site in order to see this).  Put in your reason for reporting the post(s), hit the 'ok' or 'send message' button, and the moderators will get the reports. 

As someone who moderates on Lucasforums.com regularly, I can tell you that reported posts will usually get quick action, because it sends a flag to the moderating staff to deal with the offender as soon as you report it.  If the staff is all-volunteer, it may take them a day or two to resolve it, but it does get resolved in time.

I'd be the first to say I don't like MWG much, but it looks like YOU are the guilty party here. Go cry to someone else. And definitely hawk your products elsewhere, or better yet, buy an ad here on OH and help fund this site for users like me!

The OP is not telling the whole truth.. just the side that suits her.

She was on another forum.. here exactly, shilling her goods which is against OH TOS and was called on it by MWG.

She started to yell at MWG, MWG quoted her posts being the good poster that she is, and the OP started yanking her posts when she knew she was in trouble thinking she was CYA'ing herself.

Unfortunatly, being quoted didn't help matters much.  The OP was the one with the venom, not MWG, which amazingly was left out of this tale.


It would be nice if people were honest when they bring these tales to the MB to share.. but they don't.

MWG rarely "attacks" unless provoked, so I figured there was another side to this.
