Pre-ops: Make sure you learn about the DS before you chose your surgery!
They are acceptable DS surgeons, but far from being considered anywhere near the best.
They don't advocate for the DS, and they have a for **** DS after-care program, which is about par for the course for most DS surgeons.

Highest Known Weight = 370# / 59.7 bmi @ 5'6"
Current Weight = 168# / 26.4 bmi : fluctuates 5# either way @ 5'7" / more than 90% EWL
Normal BMI (24.9) = 159#: would have to compromise my muscle mass to get here without plastics, so this is not a goal.

It's not about "liking" any DS doc. Strange as it may sound, my health is not personal. I want the best for me and my family. I will go anywhere and do anything to get what I perceive to be the best.
My insurance covered any DS doc in the country, coast to coast. The level of my copay differed whether they were "in network," but I had my pick of the litter. I went with experience, long-term success rates and quality of hospital. I actually paid more for Rabkin than I would have paid for many of the others because he is out of network.
I love Rabkin because he comes to Chicago very often, his practice has kick-booty support groups, a very active Yahoo group, and his team is top-notch. They keep in contact with other DS docs to try and share best practices, etc. Oh, and his long-term results speak for themselves. They will be releasing some 11-16 year data shortly and it looks really good.
As to your docs, you chose them for your reasons. Trust your instincts. With your date approaching, now's the time to get your ducks in a row, not second-guess. You'll do great.
