Thanks Michele!

Actually, I was getting concerned that nobody was trying to bash me for this thread -- the "surgery war" threads always get the most attention.  I was afraid I was losing my touch!

You say *****  like it's a bad thing. Kudos to Diana for trying to help those who are clueless. If only you could be so kind and selfless.

Dreamweaver,

What I see here looks to be absolute remorse and jealousy on your part. Your defensiveness to this post really says it all. It's really too bad that you either were not aware of the possibility of having a DS paid for via appeal, or not willing to take on the challenge.  You ended up getting the statistically inferior surgery. Too bad so sad. I was so fortunate to be exposed to the DS for the first time during a surgery war on the RNY board. I researched and decided the DS was for me. My insurance company denied me initially. With help from many on the DS board including in great part, the amazing, knowledgeable, no holds barred, Diana Cox, I was able to get the DS. I did not settle. I would not settle. So, no....it certainly does not suck to know Diana. Every WLS, or any surgery for that matter, has it's drawbacks. Google RNY complications "to be scared to death!" Please take some time to come to terms with your settling for your surgery. And keep in mind that, in a few years, you CAN choose to take on your insurance company for your revision to DS surgery. Good luck with that.

No holds barred??  I'm REALLY against the ***** Twister ... just to be clear.

Damn, there was only ONE objection to this post??  I'm going to have to post it again, maybe over Thanksgiving weekend when the guilt REALLY comes out.  NEED.MORE.HITS!!

This would depend on the context into which the ***** Twister was delivered, right?

Maybe you could post a " Guess what I had for Thanksgiving dinner"  thread on the main board. That would be sure to get 'em all worked up.

I did that on the Michigan board last year; the thread ended up on R&R, and I made lots of new friends!
