Just got back from surgery and have been siiping and walking .  So far I have gotten in about 32 oz of water, about 2-3 oz of vanilla pudding.  Sotmache is making a lot of noises so I am burdping and passing gas.  Was walking all over the hospital and will continue to do so now that I am home.  Any suggestions for first days home from the hospital?

Leslie,

Keep walking, it will help get teh gass out of your system. I had my surgery on Oct. 5th and feeling a lot better. The first week was pretty sore, but the 2nd week it was a lot better, but was pretty tired. I just got back to work this week. I taking it a little slow still, but really feels good to be back at work. I was bored at home. Take care and get your rest. Don't push the food to much. Take it nice and easy. Congratulations!

Congratulations, I would make sure you get your fluids first and protein second. Then pace around the house and take it easy.

Thanks guys.  Definately working on the water.. moving around quite a bit too.  Looking forward to finding a groove with this whole thing and very grateful I don't have to get back to work for awhile..

Welcome home Leslie! Take it easy, get in fluids and the proteins will keep you from feeling so blahhh. Sugar free popsicles, Jello and some yummy soup broths help too. I didn't do too many juices because I just didn't like them much. I sipped protein drinks and water. Walk around some and rest too. Good for you!!    Connie

Thanks.  Just took my first shower since Monday. It was amazing.  I totally forgot I had the sugar free popsicles...Ahhh.  I feel so full from the water...and tired.  I figure I am going to start getting in the proteing tomorrow morning.  I hope that will be okay...
