Late to this thread...   My bariactric clinic used to have Flintstones as acceptable.  They stopped recommending them prior to the time I had surgery.  In fact it was still listed on my post-op instructions and diet plan but the nutritionist had us remove it and put an adult multivitamin.  She said people are fine the first few years with Flintstones but once you hit the 5 year mark that's when the deficiencies start showing up.  Sooner or later the Flintstones will fail to meet your needs.   So make sure you get your labs.  I did not have a malabsorptive surgery and ended up low on vitamin D at my 6 month labs.
