I am 5'6 too, 49 years old, small/medium boned, and my body stopped losing at 148-150. I exercise, eat healthy but I have been at this weight for 9 months. I wear a size 8. The only thing I think that would get my weight lower would be a tummy tuck. However, I'm really happy at this weight. HTH

Wow you are doing great!!  I am 60, had my surgery at 58.  I am 5'6" and I weight around 160 lbs.   I would really like to go down to 150 lbs. but so far the lowest I've been is 159 lbs.  However I am comfortable at this weight. I don't need blood pressure meds or heart meds.  I am no longer pre-diabetic.  I can move easily.  I take a size 12 and the last time I was that size I was about 12!!  My doctor never had a goal weight for me but I thought about 175.  Of course when I hit 175 I changed my goal to 150!  I am still losing about 1 lb a month.

Hey Bev,  I am 51 years old, 5'6" also and large boned.  I set my personal goal at 165, I made it to 172 and wear 8 or 10's and am very happy here.  If I could lose the last 7 lbs., I would love it , but if I can maintain here, I will be happy.  My starting weight was 266, so I feel I have accomplished a lot!  Everyone says I look GREAT, and I feel GREAT and am off BP meds and insulin, so I am happy.  Your body will know when it gets to a comfortable weight.  I heard Dr. Oz say on Oprah one time that as women get older, they look healthier with a little weight on them......that was music to my ears, I know I should not weight what I did at 21.
Good Luck.....Lisa

Hi! I am 5'6" tall, almost 45yrs. old, and female. I just weighed myself, and fully dressed(bra, panties, socks, tennis shoes, oversized sweatpants and sweatshirt) I weigh 129lbs. I guess I am small boned? I have little wrists and little ankles. But I am built weird in my opinion. Long arms long legs. People think that I am much taller than I am. Anyway, I asked my surgeon several times what my goal weight was, and he was very noncommital and never gave me one. Right now I wear medium tops and size 4 jeans(can get size 2 on without laying down to zip/button them, but too snug to wear out in public and be decent). Never in my wildest dreams would I have believed that I would be so small. I am healthy though, and full of energy. Oh, and people tell me I look GOOD! Oh, and I started out as a light weight(254.2 day of surgery). You may get to 175 and like that weight, or you may get to 150 and not like it. It varies from person to person as to their bone structure, how and where their weight is distributed, age, etc... as to what weight they should be.  While I look good at this weight, you on the other hand may look like you're dying of anorexia at this weight, even though we are the same height and all. Mostly it depends on where your body wants to be at. You may want to be 150, but your body may have a different opinion and want to be at 160 or 140.  I would say that since 175 is the weight is what your doctor estimated then when you reach 175 you will be considered a success. If you want to lose more and you do, then it's gravy. Be proud of of yourself! Loosing 95 lbs. is nothing to sneeze at! That's like loosing a small person or a big child. That's alot! Celebrate your current achievement  and the rest will fall into place, just continue to follow your doctor's program. Good Luck!
