What do they mean by "strained' cream soup?

I think they just mean to water it down a little bit to make it more wet like and to take out all the things you would have to chew; but of course I haven't even had surgery yet but this will be what I will be doing. I will probably just drink most of the juice and give the rest to my dad and the kids!

I think this will be the most time my children will every had hot meals prepared at home and not out and about! They are going to be so tired of soups and crackers.....lol

I have a soup cook book that I bought about 3 years ago and not I am finally going to have the time and the nerve to use it! Shoot this book even has fruit soups, I never even thought about making soup with all kinds of seasonal fruits and stuff!
