I know this cannot be good for my sleeve, but I can't stop. Do you think it will hurt me?

I dont know the particulars of your type of surgery, but I do know that rapid weight loss can cause gallstones and citrus is very good for not getting gallstone formation.

How's your BP? Salt will, of course, cause you to retain water, which will, in turn, raise your BP. The citrus fruits are pretty acidic, too.

My non-medical opinion is---have fun, unless you're having trouble with BP or acid reflux.

No bp and no swelling since the surgery. They actually help with nausea too.

I know another post op who ate lemons and salt a lot...I wonder if it could indicate any vitamin definciency...like eating ice can be a sign of anemia.

I was once told it will eat the enamel off your teeth. I do NOT know if that is true tho.

I've craved salt when my bp was low, but don't now, even though it's still on the low side.

The citric acid in lemons and limes is awesome for preventing kidney stones, which can be a problem after WLS. I've had an issue with them for my entire adult life, and drink a lot of lemon juice now, to help. They are hard on the teeth though, so rinse and brush immediately afterward.

Why don't you drink a little milk or eat some yogurt before you eat the limes with salt.  That way, it would be easier on your stomach.  Drink extra water to counter the salt. It probably is a good idea to mention this craving to your doctor.
