nsaids

how do I know if something is an nsaid?  I know it means asprin and asprin like products, but what is an ingredient I should look for so I can be sure.

Specifically I want to take some benadryl.  So can anyone help me?

NSAID is everything except tylenol.  If your doctor okay's it, benedryl is okay.  If you are a ways out then the benedryl will not hurt you.  But under 3 weeks be careful.

NSAIDs are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.  These are aspirin, ibuprofin, aleeve, ketoprofin, and several others -- but those are the ones otc.

Benedryl is fine.

I was in the hospital in May...2 months after surgery ( RNY) with broncitics...and they put me on steriods.. threw my IV..and put me on predizone....was that a no no?...I went to a hospital that did not do my RNY...I did tell them I had gastric bypass...Gee........I quess I should have asked this questions before...Thanks for any information.........Hugs from Michigan Bev
