I'm not sure how to measure with tablespoons.  It says that 2 scoops is equivalent to 35 grams.  I've searched the web and have seen everything from "2 heaping teaspoons", to 3 tablespoons.  Anyone know the proper amount?
Thanks,
Sheryl

Use your kitchen measuring spoons and 2 level TABLEspoons is VERY close to "ONE" scoop.

I just measured one of my whey protein scoops using water,  two scoops is just shy of three fluid ounces.  The teaspoons would have to be refering to dinnerware and is not a very accurate measure.  Three level tablespoons would be more accurate and if they are not quiet full maybe around 2 and 3/4 it would be closer to my measure.

Can't you just borrow the scoop from another can?

Thanks to both of you.  The problem is that all scoops aren't created equal, so its hard to know exactly how big mine was.  I'm going to Costco on Thursday to buy another bag so I'll know for sure then.  Until then, I'm going with the 3 Tbls.  If that's a little too much, it's not enough calories to undo me.  What I was really concerned about was making sure that I'm getting enough protein because I'm doing my 10 day, pre-op liquid diet and I want to be healthy for surgery.

It was really nice of you to go to the trouble of measuring for me.  I really appreciate it.
Thanks,
Sheryl

I'd guess that protein powder is about the same consistancy as flour, so I'd use this chart

All-Purpose Flour and Confectioners' Sugar

1/8 cup = 15 grams
1/4 cup = 30 grams
1/3 cup = 40 grams
3/8 cup = 45 grams
1/2 cup = 60 grams
5/8 cup = 70 grams
2/3 cup = 75 grams
3/4 cup = 85 grams
7/8 cup = 100 grams
1 cup = 110 grams

Personally, my protein powder (Body Fortress) says the scoop is 28g.  Measurement-wise, that's equal to about 1/4 cup.

Post the name of the protein and maybe someone else has it and can look at their scoop.
