I just posted a reference to this notice on the Men's Forum.  I know that the Crow was an inspiration to many people.  He will be missed.

This makes me so sad. I met him first at the Dallas OH conference, then a few years later at the CA convention I spent some time with him and his lovely wife. The world is a lesser place without him.

Hi, Bo -

I don't step outside the Men's forum very often, but both you and Kirk were a great inspiration early on in my journey.

I started out inbetween the two of you - at 677lbs.  I'm down about 400 lbs in three years, and remember watching the two of you during my two year fight for the surgery.

He will be missed - but remember, life is good - and you need to keep putting one foot in front of the other.

When we first started fighting for my husband's surgery (Dave G) I read Kirk's profile and website continually for inspiration.  He didn't know it, but he kept us fighting.

I still have his profile and website bookmarked on my computer.  I'm so saddened by his death and I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend, Bo.

I am so so sorry about Kirk. He was such a special person and I think of him often. He was a good friend to many of us.....I am so shocked.

Bo, can you private message me an address that I can send a card to his family?

I never had the pleasure to chat with him or meet him, however, in my research for my rny I found his website and read it several times.  He was such an inspiration and will remain so to all that know of him.  Bless him and his family and friends during this time!

bo...my heart has just been saddened...kirk was still very instrumental in the boards and member services when i joined AMOS...and i had the pleasure of big hugs and conversation in LA in 2004....his story was inspiring and his heart was as huge as his smile was tender !!!!!
please know i am saying a prayer for him...and for you in this loss.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

So sorry to hear. He was a frequent poster and if I remember correctly a fellow Mountaineer. His attitude and drive was an early influence to me over 5 yrs ago. I feel very fortunate that he was such a contributer and always a friend. His struggle is over, but not his spirit.
