Oh no :( I met Kirk many many years ago when OH was AMOS. We chatted in the chat room and via email and talked on the phone numerous times and he was one of the nicest, kindest people I had ever met.

The world has truly lost an angel May he rest in peace and fly with the angels.

Hello, my prayers go out to you and his family.  I know losing a friend can be such a sorrow.
My half brother's last name is McCoy, he lives in Virginia.  He too had a best friend who once weighed 575 lbs...had gastric bypass, dropped down to 178...I did not even recognize this man. But he too had several addictions, one was alcohol, he died a couple years ago, which was very tragic to my brother, but my brother also realized it was not from the surgery, but from bad habits that were never addressed.  The doctors do stress at siminars that sometimes people will trade one addiction for another, and usually alcohol is the drug of choice for many.
I hope folks out there who are struggling with addictions will seek help and support group for thier addictive behavior.  Life is too precious to throw away.  God bless you and comfort you.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss.  My thoughts go out to everyone.

It's not a sign of weakness to seek help when you need it.
The only sign of weakness is NOT to seek the help you need.

I am truly in shock over hearing of Kirk's passing. Not only was he a great coworker, he was also a true friend who would give you the shirt off his back if he could. He will be greatly missed. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family. Kirk - we'll always love you.

Hi, sorry about your loss, sounds like Kirk was an inspiration to a lot of you out there.  My thoughts and prayers go out to all that he has made a difference to.  His work here is done and it sounds like he did a good work from all the kind things said about him.  Just remember him when you are in need of more inspiration, he can still be an influence,  If we could all but touch some ones life what a difference it would make.  Just  remember that you may never know who is looking up to you so always do good..Peace be with you all...A lot of you have touched my life on this forum.....Pat

Such a sad thread. He was clearly a very special man.

Even in his passing he leaves a profound message. I am thankful for his journey and reminded of the importance of being there for others during this journey.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. It is painful when a bright light goes out..... but tonight the heavens must shine a little brighter and his battle is over!

God bless him and protect him!

Much love to those hurting.
