I am just now reading this thanks to Natalie (Tink).  I am very saddened at this news.  Crow was one of the "Oldies" and you can tell by the people on this thread, we remember when he first started his journey.  Crow is definitely one of the people we think of when we think of "way back when."  This was when OH was a close family and nearly all of us knew each other either from in person or just on-line.  Unfortunately I never got to meet Crow but I felt as if I had known him. He was so wonderful to put his story out there and help COUNTLESS people.  When I think of OH/AMOS "angels,"  I think of 3 people now, 2 passed way before him but supported every single person they met with encouragement and optimisim.  In addition to Sally Simatos, Momma Angel (who is on almost all of our surgery pages posting support until 2005), we now count Kirk/Crow as a founding angel of OH/AMOS.

I had lost track of his journey in the last 2 years so can someone please PM me and let me know what happened?

I am so sorry for everyone's loss.  He was truly a great friend to many and never met a stranger.  What a kind soul.  Rest in Peace dear Kirk. May you now fly gently into the skies and may us feel your gentle breeze.

I feel a loss of not having known this man.  From reading this thread, he was truly a kind soul.  He had such a nice smile.  I will pray for you and his family to find strength in his passing.

Blessings to all who knew and loved him.

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

Wow! i'm truly sorry Bo.
I only met him once in Cali. He and his lady friend at that time. I know he touched many as you do. Thats how you keep his memory alive.

Stay strong my friend

I haven't been on this site for awhile and seeing this post is such a shock. Not having kept up on here I don't know all that's happened, but it's a tragedy nonetheless.  I remember when I started my journey in 2003;  Kirk's posts and his story were so inspring to me. To hear that he's passed is incredibly sad and such a loss. I never met him or spoke to him, but reading his story was always a blessing.
You're a good friend to remember him this way. My thoughts are with you.

I am so sorry for your loss, what a great support and comfort he gave to so many.  He sent me an email every year on my birthday and he barely knew me, he gave me hope, he made me believe that I could be successful on my journey...sigh...my heart is breaking.
