amerigroup sucks!! please help

they now require that u attend a support group for at least 4 weeks, my surgoens office just called me with this sh said that people have been getting denied for not havin that documentation this is a problem because ive attend support groups for a year but i have no way of proving it, please, if anyone has a way that i can make some proof or something please telll me!! 

Don't you have to sign in or something when you attend group?  Four weeks is not so bad - your insurance could require six months or a year.  Start collecting documentation.

When insurance says jump, just ask how high. Without existing documentation, they simply aren't going to give you a pass.

Does your support group have a leader?   If so, have that person write you a letter of support indicating your regular attendance. 

are there sign in sheets at your group?    My group passes around one at every group.  Maybe the facilitator would be able to make a photocopy for yourself and personal records. Just an idea...Good luck....

If so, what's the big deal?

I'm with the group here....If you've been attending support group for a year, then getting photocopies of the sign-in sheet and/or a letter from your group facilitator is a no-brainer!


Unless of course, they specified what would and would not be accepted as proof. 

If they, for example send you a form to have filled out for four weeks, then I guess you go to group for four more weeks!

You've got to give a little to get a lot, sometimes!
