I'm glad that you were able to have two "skilled" surgeons on your case.   and you are entitled to ask for what you want if self paying for surgery.

But the cold, hard facts are that MOST facilities do not utilize two surgeons in one OR,  rather operate two OR's with assistants-for purely financial reasons.  the patient is none the wiser to who stands across the table from the surgeon.   It is obvious that you have little or no experience with a good Physician Assistant.   I've practiced bariatric medicine for ten years and have assisted on more cases than many surgeons have done.  nevertheless, you are entitled to your opinion.

Truly, my post was for patients who have consulted with us, will consult with us or have researched us and plan to visit us.   to quell rumors that are circulating in the NW Ohio or SE Michigan area.

You are quite correct, I am entitled to two "skilled" surgeons and that is exactly what I got.

You are dead wrong when you write that I have little to no experience with a good physician's assistant.  Just because I don't want a PA doing part of my surgery does not mean I am not educated on the topic.  My preferences are merely different from your licensing.  That's all.

I was an OR nurse for a long time, I am well aware what goes on during surgery.  That's why I knew how and what to research for my own surgery.  I know a doc in Tijuana, MX that has a person working as an asst. surgeon that isn't even as much as a nursing assistant.  He's the nephew of a nurse.  So yes, I know what and how to research.

Clearly the post I am responding to is directed to me, thus you wrote a previous post?  How many IDs do you have?  This is your first post in this thread.

Whoa....  Wait a minute!

This is the only post you have written under this ID.  You are referring to the other post you wrote in this thread where you admit to being Amy, the Physician's Asst.

You wrote a patient testimonial explaining that you met your doctor and Amy.  You ARE Amy.

Heh.... wrong ID syndrome.  And you want me to trust a PA during surgery?  Not so much....

Well then, seriously, it is time to find one that does.  I deserve the care that I and my Ins company pay out my hard earned money for.

Personally, I don't care if I ever see another PA, experienced or not.  That is not what my co pay and my Ins pay for.  Especially one who tries to pass herself off as someone else.  That puts a huge hole in your credibility.

Why is that? Are you trying to keep them from realizing that there are practices out there that take care of their practices and that they are deserving of what they pay for?

And PS... I caught your little/big oops  too!!  There is a reason that I always sign my posts.

If you are proud enough to post it you should be proud enough to sign it.  I read that in our employee training and learned long ago, if it's not signed and dated it didn't happen.

I am Dr. Lane's PA,  he has nothing to do with my posts.   I have become good friends with the person who is thinmarie.  she and I logged on my computer while she was in the office with me one day and that log in was stored in my laptop.

I have NOT logged on as a patient,  I WOULD not and do not condone that type of thing.   I'm sorry that you feel the way you do.  PA's are a great group of professionals.
anyone who knows me either personally or professionally knows that I do not have the time to log on as numerous persons to give false testimony, nor would I

I will say that Dr. Lane would not as he does not have the time either, nor would he condone that behavior.

we noticed a problem with rumors, and I felt the best way to deal with it was to place a note on OH.com----I dont know that much about computers to have streams or multiple posts.
