What Yogurt to Buy?
Hey Everyone!
OKay so my surgery is on monday! (so Nervous)..... And i went to Wal-Mart today to pick up a few last minute things and also the things i would need when i got home. One thing my NUT said to get was yogurt. But all her information flew out of my head when i was in the dairy section. I was looking for Sugar Free yogurt. Does that exist. Do i just need low fat? I dont want to come home and dump from yogurt! Any Help would be appreciated!

If you have a trader joe's near by, get their brand of greek yogurt. The fat free one has 20 grams of protein in just one cup. You won't be eatting all that much for a few weeks so if
it's easier to get stuff at the grocery store just look for the
yogurts that are sweetened with splenda or some other artificial sweetner. The greek yogurt is great because it is plain and you can flavor it however you want. Get some sugar free Torani syrup (Walmart Super Stores carry these) to flavor it and once you can start eatting fruit you can add that to the yogurt too. I have even used the greek yogurt to make a dip with the Hidden Valley powdered mixes for salad dressing. Then I use that for veggies.
Early out you will not be eating to much but you would get more bang for your buck with the greek yogurt.
Good luck with your surgery and I hope you have a painfree recovery....Laurie

I vote for Carbmaster Yogurt from Kroger (and all of their subsidiaries like Dillons, etc.)
That's my morning breakfast (actually second breakfast after walking)---Carbmaster, 1/4 C. Fiber One, and 1/2 C. blueberries.
Good luck with your surgery!

Hi Kimberly,
Do you have a Kroger near you? Kroger brand Carbmaster yogurt is a great choice because of the high protien count. It has 12 grams of protien in 6 oz.. Obviously you wouldn't be able to eat the whole thing right after surgery, but it is really good yogurt!
Good Luck with your surgery on Monday!!
