Has anyone lost their ability to vomit after RNY?

I threw up for the first time since surgery last night - I over ate by 1 chunk of broccoli and that is all that came back up and I felt better instantly.  There was no bile or anything - thank god!

Hi All!
I am still learning about the RNY...does the food go straight out,or does it still digest? (like we have acid in our stomach to digest the food, does that still happen)?

I guess I'm the odd ball here.. I was never able to make myself throw up BEFORE surgery but after I'm a pro... Don't take that the wrong way but early on when I was feeling over stuffed or ate too fast I could make it come back up... But since our pouch is so small food moves through it very quickly so you only have a limited window of time to get it back up.  I haven't had to do this in a very long time thank goodness but early out when I was feeling sick to my stomach, usually because I ate too fast, I was able to get it out.

Unfortunately when you dump it had to get out some how.  And boy does that suck.

I would get dry heaves over nasty smells, food texture, I would want to get sick  but only have severe dry heaves...
