Aside from Greek, what kind of yogurt do you eat. I'm on pureed and can start eating yogurt. The best I could find at the store was the Dannon Light and fit. 60 cals. 0 Fat, 10 carbs, 7 sugar, 3 protein. Is this ok. Greek yogurt is a bit to tangy for me right now. My taste buds don't seem to like it.

You're better off with Greek yogurt.  Sweeten it with some Splenda, or stir in some SF jello or jello pudding powder.  Or SF jelly.   Or puree a tiny bit of fruit to stir in.  Make it interesting.  Yes, by itself - very tangy, but consider it a base.

I don't care for the greek yogurt either.  I eat Dannon light and fit at least 3 days a week!!!

Dannon Light n Fit is the one I have.. my nut recommended it.  I am a little over 3 months post-op and have been eating it since 3 weeks post-op and have never experienced a problem with it.  I like the lemon, lime and vanilla.  They have a few new flavors watermelon, canteplope and a pineapple one.. they had a horrible after taste.

Be careful of the sugar in fruit added yogurts. I also enjoy Greek yogurt and do add sugar free syrups, jellos and splenda seperatly of course..

I have noticed that Ralphs now carries Fage yogurt as well as some Super Walmarts. Give it a try.

Good luck

I agree with Kathy.  I always just put some splenda in mine.  It's alot better for protein than the Dannon, too.

My Nut told me as long as the sugar is below 9g I am ok, I am pre op, but hubby is post op and she said the same for him.
I like Bryers Light it has about the same sugar bu****ch out for the CREAMSAVERS they look similar and have a lot more sugar.  I am with you on the Greek Yogurt I can't eat it.
Follow your Dr's & Nuts plan for you and you will do great.

If you have a Kroger, their brand is FABULOUS!!  Kroger Carbmaster yogurt.   Just had some, yummm.  6 oz serving is 80 calories, 3g sugars, 1g Fiber, and  PROTEIN 12g.

Many flavors to choose from...vanilla, strawberry, strawberry/banana, cherry, blueberry, rasberry, peach...  They all taste good to me.  Some have more fruit chunks that others but if you add to your shakes, chops up those little chunks!!

I ate when was on puree and the vanilla was the best, no fruit chunks.  Add a serving when you make your protein shakes.

What kind of Greek yogurt are you trying?  I find that the plain and vanilla are too sour creamy on their own.  However, I go to Whole Foods and they have Chobani strawberry that is good.  And now the Oikos (sp?) just started having a strawberry which is good.  I add splenda to the flavored ones and they are good.  But I can see how some people wouldn't be able to tolerate them.

I don't care for the Carbmaster but I know a lot of people do.  I can eat it but find it too bland.  I have been thinking of getting some and adding some protein powder to it.  A friends on the IN board suggested that.

I don't dump so I don't pay a lot of attention to sugars.  I mean I do look at them but worry more about protein, carbs, calories and fat.  I like the Yoplait thick and creamy lite....but I just looked and it has 14 sugars.
