I'm so sorry you have to go through this type of stress before your surgery.   I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.  My fingers are crossed.

I know you are steaming mad, but I am a firm believer everything happens for a reason.  Good luck getting through the rest of the process.

If you have all of your records - take them with you!  I have been carrying copies of everything of mine in case I get the call that makes the change like that.  Everyone has to be their own advocate now.  Everytime you get a medical test, xray, whatever - get a copy!
