Rose vs. Stomaphyx

I'm lapband so this doesn't apply to me.... but I'm just curious- are the two procedures the same thing with two different names (kinda like lapband vs. realize band)? Or is it two different procedures? I remember hearing how stomaphyx is not effective, just wondering if they're calling it something else now.

They are two different procedures.  Rose being more effective.

Doesn't apply to me, either, since I had the DS. But it's my understanding that the Rose sort of takes tucks or pleats in the pouch itself, while the Stomaphyx scars, and hopefully shrinks, the stoma.
