Not telling I had gastric bypass. Medical Bracelet abbreviations

I had RNY Gastric Bypass. I've lost 83 lbs in just under 3 months. I ain't telling anyone but my close family.  That's just how I want it. ...Period.

I'm ordering a Medical Bracelet and I don't wanna put "Gastric Bypass" on it....

Is this enough to have on it?

No Blind NG Tube
No NSAIDS / No Sugars
555-555-5555 (Dr)

Would it help to put "RNY" on the top?

What about "GP RNY" on top?

I like it just like it is in blue (above) It says everything thats important and has the Doctors phone number.

Any info???

(WIll get back to you soon, Kimba)

Mine says "Roux-En-Y anastomosis" rather than Gastric Bypass.  But how many people besides medical professionals are really going to read your bracelet?

83 lb in 3 months?!?!  That's phenomenal!

Probably. Unless its after hours....
If your issue is not having other people see your tag, I would just get a long chain and wear a medic alert necklace under your clothing.
I think you need to put the words "gastric bypass" on it.  While I have the utmost respect for EMS providers, I wouldn't trust them or doctor's that don't know you to figure it out.
Just sayin.

There are several other threads here about not having your medical bracelet being too "decorative" or medical people won't know it's anything but jewelry.  I've used the standard Medic Alert dog tag for years since it has their 800 phone number and they have all my medications/doses, allergies, medical history, doctors' numbers and emergency contacts listed.  If I'm ever taken unconscious to a hospital, they can know everything about me with one 5 minute phone call.  In my professional opinion, if you have more than one medical issue it's the only way to go.

Where did you get that? I like the idea of them having my history.

I would def. put in no blind NG tube because for some medical reasons you may need an NG tube twenty years from now.. like say if you had an intestinal obstruction...hope that helps : )
