What things weigh...
I used this early out when people would ask how much weight I'd lost. I didn't want to have them seeking out numbers all the time (and then doing math in their heads and deciding that 2+2=5, which some would), so I'd give the equivalents off the list. After a couple times, they stopped asking and just asked if I felt good. That was much better all around.
Currently - I've lost a baby giraffe and 2 guinea pigs, and would like to find those guinea pigs again and maybe one of their friends! LOL!

I missed the post you are referring to, but I wrote an article about losing weight that outlined the weights of various items. I've lost 13 pounds on the 17 Day Diet which is the weight of a bowling ball! It is also only 2 pounds less that a market umbrella! I'm not sure if if was my article someone posted or not, but you might find it answers your question. Here is the article:
"Losing Weight One Pound at a Time"
It's fun to associate our weight loss success with such impressive images, isn't it?
Good luck with continuing on your journey. My sister had lap band surgery and lost sixty pounds!
