an alternative to Walden Farms products???

I really like the Walden Farms products, but we're a military family and we just can't afford $5 for one bottle of ketchup.  Does anyone know of a good comparable, but more reasonably priced brand of zero carb/fat/calorie products?  I am mostly interested in a good ketchup and BBQ sauce.

TIA

You might check your local health food store.  They may have some cheaper.

Ha!  One would think!  But I live in this little tiny hole in NC called Goldsboro.  No Whole Foods or Trade Joe's or any health food stores (but the restaurants sure do keep going up.)

But, I will make a trip to Raleigh and see what I can find.  Thanks.

Have you tried purchasing it online. Sometimes you can buy it in bulk.

You might look for Heinz One Carb.  It is sweetened with Splenda... Some of the grocery stores carry it.

You can try looking at some of the low carb recipe sites  That's where I got this BBQ sauce recipe:

10.75oz can tomato puree

10.75oz water

4tsp Worscestershire sauce

4tsp Splenda

2Tbsp white vinegar

2Tbsp liquid smoke

1/2tsp garlic powder

1tsp chopped garlic

1/2tsp onion powder

1/4tsp paprike

1/2tsp dry mustard

1tsp mild chili powder

1/4tsp cayenne

1tsp chives

Mix all ingredients excep****er in a saucepan.  Once all ingredients are mixed, then add water.  Bring to a low simmer and allow to simmer for 10 minutes on low heat.

I know what you mean about the Walden's products....they're all great, but VERY pricey!!!

Thanks so much everybody for the suggestions.  I will look around for different options.

I never thought of making my own!  I will definitely that option, too!
