West Michigan round up

I am sorta new here...soon to have RNY surgery on the 10th of March..I have  chatted with alot of wonderful people on this site..and we all have stories to tell..I was just wondering if we could  form a support group for people in our area.....around West Michigan..I was thinking maybe Charoltte area....I don't know much about that area..but just thought I would throw the idea out there..I am not good at organizing things..so I would love to have someones input....Maybe meet once a month on a Sunday... not sure thats the place to meet but would love to meet you all..

I'm in BC too.  I had it on my calendar to go to Bronson in Kalamazoo.  I think it's the second or third Thursday of every month.   I'd be happy to meet up and ride to it together.  I live in Urbandale.  PM me if you want to chat more about it.  I guess there was a support group at one time in BC, but I can't seem to find any remnants of that group.  When I was at the Federal Center, we actually had our own in-house Bariatric Support Group once a month. 

Anyway, my point is.  We can work together and see if we can get something supportive happening.

Gee I am not trying to form a new group away from the one here in BC..I just thought of the few people I have meet on OH..would like to meet,...some live far away..I know for a fact there is a meeting on the 2nd Thursday of every Month at Lux's Restrurant on Capital Ave..which I went to and enjoyed...I still plan on attending that one..I was just trying to meet up with the ones that were living in other area...Please attend the one on the 12th of March..Sorry if there was a miss underrstanding..Love to meet all of our locals.............Hugs Bev

I re-read my post and I'm confused as to what I said to prompt your response.  I've been trying to find the meeting in BC and as far as I can tell it's not published on the Internet.   I'm not trying to start a new group.  I'd love to attend the March meeting at Luxe's... didn't know it was there.  What time is it? 

Hi again..I am sorry for the confusion...its just that i got serveral email about attending different meetings..and  i guess i am confused.. ,,I still want to be a part of our local support group which i mention at Luxe"s on the 2nd Thursday  at 6 pm in the back room.....but I would also like to meet with the orthers in the surrounding area...Does that make sence??

I too am from BC, and have been trying to find a group around here. Just seems all the meeting times are when I work. So I am game for anything at this point. Just can't seem to make it to GR for the meetings. Too far away!
