How did you do....I am having surgery in 2 weeks....wondering  how it might go?  As for recovery and also.....do you thing your skin is or has gone back to shape....I am concerned about this as over 40 skin may not be as elastic!!!!!  Ya think LOL!!!

I was 59 and did fantastic.  Older skin is not as elastic.  I worked out a lot with weights and my arms and legs look pretty good for someone who is almost 61.  The tummy flab did not go away and I had plastic surgery for that.  I used a lot of exfollients, cellulite creams and moisterizers.  The old skin builds up everywhere and gets dry and scaly if you don't keep removing it.  Arbonne makes some products for cellulite that worked really well for me.  Nobody else will tell you this, but adding skim milk to the protein shakes will help to keep the skin on your face and neck firm.

I went from a size 22 to a size 4

I just had RNY last July and I was 47 at the time. I know that this time I lose weight will be different because of my skin. I am getting a few wrinkles but, my health is improving and I figured that I will tackle the other demons once the weight is off. Just make sure to take your vitamins and keep well hydrated and that will help your skin. Good Luck with your surgery, you will do great and soon you will feel even better!!

Be Well  : )

I'm 47, I have not regretted having RNY not one time.  I had surgery on Dec. 10, 2008 as of this date I have lost 43 lbs.  I do feel like I am losing slow compared to others.  But, hopefully my skin want sag to much.  Breast are sagging more.  I also think genetics play a large roll in your skin bouncing back.

Like others have said "flab want kill you but fat can"

Good Luck!!
