Is there a thread on this site for folks that are serious about losing weight?

There are a bunch of "old timers" that have made mistakes that I appreciate them stating what they are having issues with (of which I think most is from lack of knowledge received from their docs or just that the science hasn't caught up with reality) and the penalties they are paying for it now. Vitamin/mineral deficiency's and all..... I am thankful for their sharing for sure!
My point being is that there are many old timers on the other hand that are hanging onto old wisdom that is outdated too. There are many too that are firmly hanging onto a diet mentality and the many different styles of diets, instead of being a "normal" stomached person that eats modestly and not like we used to gluttonly wolf.
With that, there are too many variables with our diets because of reactions to certain foods. Some can't do any carbs, some can't do sugar alcohols, lactose intolerance's..some dump just thinking a bad thought! Again, too many variables and I often wonder if some of the touchiness of some pouches/systems has to do with avoiding things too long and not building a tolerance.....WE DON'T KNOW!
Enjoy the website, take out what you need from it, leave the rest is the best advice. If you want a controlled personalized basis website, do what MM said and start your own.
And that is the reason I came here.
The issue is...I want to know what to throw out and what to hang onto. Why fail first only to find out others have already done that and I could have followed.

As long as they have that little button that I can keep pushing in the hospital!!
Thanks mm. You have been the most helpful as well as some of the other posts.
I see Carbs to be my main problem also and know that to eliminate all carbs and all fat is impossible.
But I would seriously like to find a site where I could go to get High Protein...Low Fat and yet lower Carb recipes with out resorting to the Lard Roll guy.
Ya KNOW...SOME FOLKS HERE WILL ACTUALLY MAKE THAT THING...AND DO YA THINK THEY WILL JUST TAKE A SMIGEON?
I wouldn't...I'd eat the whole thing before anyone had a chance to get dibs.

Thanks Robyn.
Those are the kind of sites I was looking for.
I just did a quick browse through but if the nutrition facts are posted or can be looked up quickly on fitday etc. Then I will make use of both of them.
Thanks again.
