Is there a thread on this site for folks that are serious about losing weight?

I just finished reading the recipe thread from the roar dude in the Islands.  My response follows:

Is there a thread for serious weight loss on this website?  Please respond or let's create one where we can get successfull suggestions as opposed to this Lard Log Crap.

Thanks.

Of course this recipe is low carb roar!

I have a similar Low Carb recipe that is much easier and will accomplish the same thing.  Here it is:

1)  Purchase one 5 pound can of Crisco Lard.

2)  Carefully surgically remove the outer container from the lard roll.

3)  Sprinkle generously with bacon bits, brush liberally with butter and enjoy!!

See..not a spec of Carbs!!

Sorry Mr. Roar but you are dangerous and destined to gain all your weight back once reality hits.

I know how to get and stay fat.  So thanks,  but no thanks to your low carb self proclaimed healthy recipes.

Yes,  I read your thread where someone questioned the nutritional values and your response was you didn't have time to post them!!  But you seem to have plenty of time to post plenty of HIGH fat, untested, non profesional recipes.

My question to you:  Arer you a plant?  Do you work for the other side or something?

Where are the protien recipes?

You do understand that you are in a temporary state of losing weight right?  You do understand that surgery is only a tool...one that will last Maybe 18 to 24 months at best right?

It is during this period that we should be learning how to eat correctly, Excercise correctly and change our abnormal, screwed up head sets.  ie: therapy.  ..;..Serious Therapy.

I too have a love affair with food..however, I am interested in working my way out of emotional eating ...not in joining your soon to be failure and subsequesnt blame of how surguery didn't work for you.

To you followers of the Roar Guy;  You may want to revisit your own data..like the woman who was sexually drooliing over one of your recipes yet had only lost 25% of her goal weight since her surgery ........... back in 2004 was it?  See the pattern?

So my question to those who are serious and not hiding from their own brain tricks:

Is there a Recipe or other  thread on this web site where only serious and successful long term weight losers and professionals post their recipes and habits?  Where recommendations are only encouraged by those who have lost and maintained weight loss for at least 5 years?  And where the rest of us just ask questions and post comments about posts from the successful folks and professionals?

To those of us who seriously want to lose weight and keep it off..this is what will help us and this what I want to read.   I already know how to do it wrong.

If no such thread exists, Can the webmaster create one with rules?

My apologies for being harsh on the Roar dude and his delusional followers but guy,  this is a matter of life and death at worst for most and quality of the rest of life at best  for the rest of us.

Get a clue.

Most of us are very serious about loosing weight - one post does not at all capture the diversity of experience and motivation of this community.   Keep an open mind....it will serve you well in all things.     Susan

Why are you posting this on the main board? If you have a problem with someone on the recipe board be a man and post it over there so the person will know he is being criticized to his face instead of behind his back.

I did post it there also.

I posted it here to get suggestions for serious threads or forums.

Do you have any?

Or are you just angry because I called that guy out?

I didn't see a problem with the guy, honestly. I dont' see your problem with him. He posts a lot of recipes and if you don't like them don't try them but he seems popular over there and I have to wonder if that isn't really your problem. I don't see the point in running to another board and dissing the guy just because you don't like his recipes.

OF COURSE HE IS POPULAR!!!!  He is posting High Calorie Fat laden recipes on a weight lose board!!!  His stuff is enough to put an elephant in a comma.

Liquor distrubutors are popular at AA meetings also.

Geeze!!

Get real.

Do you not know how to use the forum search functions? Check out the various forums. Find threads that appeal to YOUR definition of "serious about weight loss" or start your own.

Good luck finding people who are willing to interact with you after your ****ty remarks, though. I certainly have no interest in you. Happy dieting or whatever it is you consider being "serious" about weight loss.

Delicious!

Do you think  I could roll this concoction in crumbled pork rinds, and deep fry it?

Do you have the nutrition stats for this?

Now that I went and saw that thread - I have to admit - I TOTALLY posted that here about a month ago.  I swore I would make the damn thing too.  I didn't.  But, it's just fcking funny.

COME TO MAMA.

From the NY Times:

The Bacon Explosion is a massive torpedo-shaped amalgamation of two pounds of bacon woven through and around two pounds of sausage. Jason Day, in foreground, and Aaron Chronister, looking on, came up with the concoction.  NYT.

OMG MEAT PORN HEAVEN.  Heart-thumping love.  Yes, I know.  I am fully aware.  Some of you "don't do fat."  I do.  Fat is my friend.

From the BBQ Addicts.  (The recipe is there.)

YOU DON'T THINK I AM GOING TO TRY IT, DO YOU?!

MU HAHAHAHAHAHA!
