Fage Yogurt

Hi,

I was finally able to find Fage yogurt.
I seem to recall reading that many of you cannot eat it plain so you get inventive and mix the yogurt with "other things".
Can any of you please refresh my memory and tell me what you mix the yogurt with?
I usually cannot eat "plain" yogurt but the Fage is so high in protein (which I desperately need more of), I thought I would try it.

Thanks so much for your help!

Hey Sharon,

You can add SF Torani (or Davinci, or Monin, whatever) Syrups to it, fresh or frozen fruit, cereal all sorts of stuff... I like it savory too w/ veggies.

Here's some recipes

I buy the single serving crystal light packets. Add half of one to the Fage, mix and enjoy. South Beach "Tide Me Over" single serve drink mix is even better. I love the mango!!

I haven't tried it yet myself but quite a few of my friends swear that adding a packet of Splenda and some cinnamon makes it taste just like rice pudding.

Sugar Free pudding mix.  You can also get flavored fage.  I like the trader joe's brand pomegrate as it's a bit tart.

Since my local Wal-Mart started carrying Okios Greek yogurt, I have been using it.

My favorite recipe has been mixing 4 oz of 1/3 fat cream cheese, a small container of Okios yogurt, splenda, cinnamon and sugar free vanilla syrup.  I then use this as fruit dip for apple slices.

As for the Splenda, cinnamon and vanilla syrup, I don't measure, I just flavor to my taste.  It generally lasts me a couple of days.  Some of the dip and an apple makes a meal for me.

Try it you may like it.

Here's what I add to it.  I mix one big tub of Greek yogurt with the following and eat on it all week:

several spoonfuls of sugar-free fruit jam (sweetened with Splenda)
2-3 packets of Splenda
2-3 spoons of Benefiber
1/2 scoop Unjury unflavored protein powder

My favorite combo:

7 oz. container of fage yogurt
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
Splenda and Cinnamon to Taste

It is super yummy!  I also love the peach fage yogurt.  Very yummy!
