I found a new RTD in Costco. Not sure if every Costco carry it, but if you have it in your town - I recommend it.

I got it and tried it.  It taste good. Not too sweet.  just perfect for me.
It packs 30!!! gr of protein in 11 oz of a shake, for only 160 cal.

Negative: It comes in 18 drinks per package.  And for people with lactose intolerance it may cause a trouble.  It is made with concentrated milk protein, whey protein, etc.  Splenda as a sweetener.

I do not remember how much the box was but it was over $20 and under $30 in Costco.  good value. And Costco will take it back if you do not like it or get sick on it....

I did not care about the Premiere Nutrition protein bars (too dense, too sweet), but I sure like the drink.

Thanks for the info. The numbers look good. I wish they'd tell us how much sugar alcohol, however.

As far as I know - no sugar alcohol.  It does not list any in the ingredients list.
I  am sensitive to them too.

I asked about one protein product in Costco, a powder, and was told the company has, ummmm, a reputation. So you can discuss what is on the label, but the real issue is what is inside the container!

Based on what I heard, I personally doubt the Costco buyer is savvy and worldly-wise. And I am saying that publicly.

Thanks Jerome.
I know that that may be an issue. But - if nothing else - i have no choice but to follow what is published. I do not care for the powders  in Costco (and have not bought any) , but I want RTD, that:
1. I can drink,
2. has no or limited soy
3. provides protein,
4 is affordable.
5. have choices with RTD (or I get bored with just Muscle Milk)

I have not found any negative info about this company.  If you have any and can share (PM) I would appreciate that.

Unfortunately, I can not relay on just powders all the time.  There are times that I prefer RTD (in my busy life style).

Hi hala

I understand that RTD is quicker. I haven't looked at the RTD's a Costco...it just happens that I saw the powder last Friday and had been doing some checking.
I generally have had some confidence in Costco, but at least in this category, that is no longer the case.

So I don't have any info either way on the RTD.

Kind regards

Jerome

According to the Yale -New Haven Hospital website:

If a manufacturer uses the term “sugar free" or “no added sugar," they must list the grams of sugar alcohols.

They do not claim that.  It has 1 gr sugar, and all 5 gr carbs, with 3 gr fiber.
The ingredients do not show any sugar alcohol (i.e. malititol, sorbitol, etc.)

I think if they do not add any  - they do not have to list it.  They do not claim "sugar free" or "no sugar added"

(eddited for spelling - "me bad")

This is a pretty good tasting drink. I bought a case two weeks ago. The 30 grams of protein is great and it is low carb too.
