Excess skin "down there"?

I was just curious, as I know I've read something on this on here before, has anyone had issues with excess skin causing problems with their feminine parts?  I think I've read something about it being a common problem but was not sure.  I've only recently started to have concerns with smells and leakage that are not related to a yeast infection or any other normal female problem.  Thanks for your input.

I haven't had issues with smell or leakage, but I do have issues with excess skin. It's horrible.

It's just difficult and unsettling knowing this is happening and it doesn't matter how clean I keep myself.  It's not because of infection or anything like that either.  Just weird.  Going to doc next week but wanted to see if anyone else had issues like this!

It's very common. If you decide to have plastic surgery make sure they include a "mons lift".

What is mons lift?

That's where they lift the extra skin "down there"  -in the mons area (pubic area).

"Skin on skin" increases perspiration which is a breeding ground for odor-causing bacteria.  Until you decide whether or not to get "lifted,' you may want to use a body powder with an absorbing ingredient like cornstarch...

Good Luck

Ugh. Yes. I am a lot more self-conscious about this than I am about my excess skin on my stomach or my droopy boobs!! It's not pretty. I will get this fixed come hell or high water!!

Have you taken your vitamins today?

Well that's kinda my thing.  I can keep my droopy boobs up with a good bra to where no one will notice and I'm still at a point where I can hide my extra "pooch" pretty well but this is really bothering me because I can't stand worrying about the smell, and unsanitary part of it all.  Ugh!  Do you think this is something that insurance might cover because it's a hygenial and health concern?
