I didn't start out over 400 but I was getting there at 379. I lost 18 before surgery and have lost 67 since surgery (Sept 9, 2003): I too went into the 2's this week at 294 so I am right there with you. 
People are really noticing and commenting on how great I look (relative to where I started, I look a lot better) and I'm enjoying that, but I'm not sure it's really sinking in with me. I keep asking my friends "can you really tell the difference?" and they are shocked that I would even ask them that. Quite a journey, isn't it?

CLAUDIA I AM JUST 15 DAYS OUT, AND WHEN I WAS IN THE HOSP. THEY WEIGHED ME AT 10 DAYS OUT AND I HAD LOST 37 LBS. AND THAT WAS FROM 406..WOW.... WHAT A RUSH OF EXCITEMENT.. I WAS FINALLY UNDER THE 400 MARK..I KNOW NOT BY MUCH TO MOST PPL .. BUT TO ME IT'S ALOT. SO CONGRATS TO YOU AND YOUR GREAT LOSS, AND KEEP US POSTED,,,YOU ARE AN INSPIRATION TO ME AND ALOT OF OTHERS HERE..TAKE CARE AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS...ANNETTE
