How do you feel about Splenda? There are a lot of good sugar-free sweets out there, too, but a lot of them are high in calories and/or carbs. If I were you, I'd really consider the DS. It has a high malabsorption rate, which makes it much harder to "out-eat". It does NOT produce dumping syndrome, but the RNY doesn't always, either. And with the DS, you could still eat the high-carb, non-sugar sweets without sabotaging your weight loss. You'll spend some time in the bathroom pooping, but you WON'T stop losing weight.
