I just went through the same thing with my scale and finally admitted that I have lost 100lbs from my highest recorded weight.
It is such a great feeling to know that we can be big loser and WIN!!!

Get yourself a water bottle or two and fill them for each day so that you are accountable to yourself to drink your water.
Get the infection checked out, regardless of insurance.  An antibiotic now will be far less expensive than what may happen if you don't get it cleared up.
