I'm trying to make th best decisions.
My husband could stand to lose some weight too and I'm to the point I do decent with almost everything except on my bad days.

So when you go grocery shopping what is a typical list for you??

Today was a light shopping day so I got some:

Individually wrapped cheese 9Easy to grab and go) made by land O Lakes
Korean Cabbage
Tofu
Stir fy veggies
bean sprouts
water chestnuts
soy sauce
Couscous
a few asian sides that are low in fat can't remember the exact name but its with the asain foods lol :P Itts flavors like pepper steak and beef stir fry. I am having a chinese craving day obviously :P

grtocery staples:

- smoked turkey deli meat
- low-fat cheese
- whole-grain bread
- low-fat cottage cheese
- Fage yogurt
- sugarfree preserves (mix w/ Fage yogurt and cottage cheese)
- fresh fruit (apples, bananas, grapes, strawberries, blueberries, melon - whatever is on sale and looks good)
- fresh veggies (again, whatever is on sale and looks good)
- 1% milk
- Lean Cuisine or WW SmartOnes frozen meals (for lunches when I'm in a hurry or don't have dinner leftovers to take for lunch)
- sugarfree fudgesicles
- chicken breast
- eggs
- Quaker Weight Control oatmeal
- steak (choose leaner cuts)
- pork chops or tenderloin
- salmon or catfish (or whatever kind of fish you like)
- ****tail shrimp
- low-fat/light salad dressing

I mostly shop from the aisles around the outside of the grocery store, which usually hits produce, deli counter, meat counter, and dairy products.  Try to stay away from center aisles, which generally have items that are more highly processed.

I start in the Produce section.

Mixed salad greens, cherry tomatoes, onions,  4 sml. red potatoes, chinese cabbage,  garlic, peppers, beets w/greens,watermelon, snowpeas, greenbeans, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries,cantaloupe, peaches, bananas,  tuna in water, low cal Miracle Whip, chicken, plain soups (no salt) low at crackers, 90% lean meat, ground turkey, deli roasted turkey, soy milk(plain and vanilla), low fat cottage cheese, plain yogurt, 2-3 doz. eggs,  1 loaf of 12 grain bread, low fat margarine, fruit freezer pops, sugar free jello and pudding, Kashi  cereal, decaf green tea and cinnamon tea, herbs and spices and Kosher salt.
