grtocery staples:
- smoked turkey deli meat
- low-fat cheese
- whole-grain bread
- low-fat cottage cheese
- Fage yogurt
- sugarfree preserves (mix w/ Fage yogurt and cottage cheese)
- fresh fruit (apples, bananas, grapes, strawberries, blueberries, melon - whatever is on sale and looks good)
- fresh veggies (again, whatever is on sale and looks good)
- 1% milk
- Lean Cuisine or WW SmartOnes frozen meals (for lunches when I'm in a hurry or don't have dinner leftovers to take for lunch)
- sugarfree fudgesicles
- chicken breast
- eggs
- Quaker Weight Control oatmeal
- steak (choose leaner cuts)
- pork chops or tenderloin
- salmon or catfish (or whatever kind of fish you like)
- ****tail shrimp
- low-fat/light salad dressing
I mostly shop from the aisles around the outside of the grocery store, which usually hits produce, deli counter, meat counter, and dairy products. Try to stay away from center aisles, which generally have items that are more highly processed.
Good luck -
