That made me laugh, I would love to do that!!! I have been with the company 14 years and he has been there 10. I just might try the tape recorder. At least he could not deny it then. Thank you everyone. My husband wants to smash his face in and so I have just quit telling him things that go on at work now.

That is really sad when it is so bad that you can no longer discuss this with your husband and vent your frustrations!!  I'm really sorry to hear that you are experiencing this and I hope that you catch his arse on tape.  Stop taking his crap!!!!

Not sure that it is legal to tape someone in a situation where they have the expectation of a private conversation - laws on this vary by state.  But, what a jerk!  And, definitely document - noone should have to put up with this kind of crap.

Again - HR here - all you have to do is do a search on wiretapping laws. Many only require single party consent (meaning you)!

I hope the HR poster can help you.  I agree you should not put up with this!  He is really crossing the line.  Ya, women do joke, we did at my last job but harrassment is harassment and this is it if you ask me.  He needs to be transferred, fired, whatever, but away from you!  If you were to get fired over it, I am sure you could sue for wrongful termination, and was said earlier big bucks would be coming your way!  Keep us posted!

I know this sucks, but I didn't see you mention at all asking him to stop. Have you? Have you told him that what he says to you crosses the line and you do not want to hear it any longer?

By NOT saying anything, you're basically telling him it's okay for him to act this way. And I'm not saying it is, but if you don't speak up about it, he might just think you enjoy it.
