Back, after seven weeks!

I've been gone so long I didn't recognize the message board! I had my surgery on September 9. On the 20th I was back in the hospital for a week because I had an infection in my wound. Home for three weeks, then back in with a pulmonary embolism and pnemonia -- another 19 day hospital stay. You can read the details in my profile. Needless to say, there were days when I was sorry I had this surgery, though I am more positive about it today. This time I came home from the hospital feeling strong and well on my way to getting back the good health I had before surgery. It helped to put some clothes on instead of the hospital gown so I had some feedback on my weight loss! 47 pounds since surgery plus 18 before for a total of 65 pounds. Not too shabby for having spent 31 out of 60 days lying in a hospital bed. This is always where my weight loss stops. I am so excited that this time, I will just keep on losing. I haven't even had the chance to read the message board yet, but will start again. Hope all are well and best wishes to everyone having surgery this week. Ruth
