Between a realize band and the lap band???? Have I really missed something here?

The way I understand it is like Wendy's and a hamburger. Realize is the company name.

Lap Band on 04/23/06

They are different brands. The Realize is newer and so fewer people have it. As the others say, go to the lapband forum and post there - several regulars have the Realize band. And I am sure you are too intelligent to be led astray by the silly comment on realising that the lapband is a poor choice. Different WLS suit different people. The majority of WLS people support all WLS types and accept that all have their place. A very small minority feel the need to diss all surgeries other than their own - don't know why! Kate

Highest 290, Banded - 248 Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006. Regain of 28lbs 2013-14. ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,
