I woke up at 5:30 am and it's 10:35 am now .. i feel like I've been awake forever!

I had breakfast, did laundry, made eggface's brownies .. mine came out kind of dry .. hers look gooy and yummy .. she needs to take orders and ship out her food to all of us non bakers out here.... i can cook O K but baking? not so much.

I found out I don't have any way to get medical coverage while i'm here..for a whole year! .. i'd have to go to some local doctor who doesn't speak english .. i don't speak Hangul so im sure that would work out nicely :) I need to talk to my Korean language teacher to see if she knows some doctor i can see, hopefully she'll offer to take me too (crossing my fingers). but i have to wait until next Wednesday.. ugh ..im in pain now damit!

We don't have a car cause so far we haven't been "allowed" to get one.. so i took a bus to my husbands post so i could go to the gym and maybe to the pool cause we don't have AC and im melting at home.. I get there and everything is closed! They are messing with the electric stuff so they closed all the facilities .. great .. i can't even hang out and do nothing in an A/Cd room .. so I take the next bus home.

lets see, no AC, no Dryer (we're not supposed to get appliances because of the black market or some crap), no Car, no medical, no dental. It's like survivor out here..at least we have a roof over our heads and running water! I don't know why they let spouses join their husbands if they have nothing in place to support their stay. At least we don't have kids yet, there is not even a play ground (and they won't consider funding one) and forget about child care services.

Then what really gets me is is that they give you a list of things that will be available to you like medical and dental and blah blah benefits.. then when you're in a situation when you need to use these benefits you find out you don't qualify only the higher ranking families qualify for all these things or you have to go through fire blazing hoops to get to the benefits. I mean it sounds great but there is always a catch. I hate how things work, it's all BS and im tired of it ..and the worse part is that DH is so brain washed by all of this ...I'm ready to say screw you and get a car and just avoid post, other wise i'm gonna go crazy here at home in this insane heat and humidity.

You could always go in search of a good Kimchee place    or take a tour of  those factories where they make those things "made in Korea"      btw, while you're over there, I wish you could find someone who knows what the name is of those decadently-flavorful smoked pork steaks they eat over there ..     I ate some at a fastfood Korean place in Springfield, MO back in my college days, and can't remember it   In English phonetics, it looked almost Spanish, like something like "Tegulcigalpa" or "Teguchape" or something ..  I wish I could get those down here ..    btw, Springfield is the unofficial 'Korean restaurant capital of the U.S."  ..  due to church relocations of immigrants after the war and such in the area ..  it supposedly has more Korean restaurants per square mile than any other city in the U.S.
