"Sitting Side-By-Side" (In the Restaurant)
WHEN my hubby and I get alone time without the three kids, we sit by each other in a restaurant booth because we simply never get to! The kids are always claiming a parent that they want to sit by, and so it's nice when we can be close and hold hands and just "be."

My husband and I were in Culvers and the only available place to sit was a very small booth with on bench on one side and a wall on the other. We grabbed this table right away and both sat down on the same seat. Guess what we both fit. We spent the entire meal with me giggling about the fact that we both fit. Before weight loss surgery I would have taken up the whole seat by myself. We weren't looking for any groping because we can to that at home, but being able to sit beside each other in a booth made for one: priceless.

It's foreplay, even if NOTHING is going to be done later.
I prefer to sit side by side as often as possible... simply because you can touch one another's thigh, hip, knee, etc etc etc
At a two person table--well opposite is the only way. I hate that.
At a 4 person table, next to each other on the same corner.... just to touch the knees or hold hands.
I've often wondered the same things when I see people sitting side by side in a booth. It seems silly to me, but having read the other posts I can understand why some people do it. We always sit across from each other. It's funny now that I think about it, when we go out to eat with other people we sit next to each other in the booth. However, when my sister eats with us I'll sit next to my sister on one side and my husband sits by himself on the other side. Weird huh?
I think maybe it's because I don't want my sister to feel like a "3rd wheel" and my husband doesn't care as long as the food is hot and the long island iced teas are cold!!! hahaha
