Oh no you DIDN'T! CHARLIE!!!!!!! Oh lordy gal, what am I gonna do with you? I'm sorry, I feel bad for you and I'm giggling at the same time! You're trying to do something healthy...ride your bike to get fruits and veggies, and it ends up possibly sending you to the ER! LOL
Be sure to ice your elbow if it's sore/swelling and rest it. Ice 20 min on, 20 min off.
I sure hope it heals soon Charlie. :) In the meantime, rest and enjoy some *tee hee* watermelon! LOL
Thank you thank you......my neighbor is a nurse so she put on her gloves....got out the cotton balls and HP and put my fat little ass on the ceiling. But its all better now. She cleaned it out....put it on ice (yep 20 on and 20 off) and now it's all better. I did it on purpose......Doug bought a rotteiseri chicken for dinner....hehe. Hugs Charlie

Oh, Charlie, I am sooooo sorry. As much as I love riding my bike I'm waiting for that day when I take my first spill. They say if you ride a bike it WILL happen. I hope your bruises and cuts heal quickly and there is no ER in your future. I hate there isn't a watermelon too. That sounds so good in this heat.

Oh no.....the watermelon is fine......matter of fact, Doug washed off the blood, sliced cut it in chunks and put in the fridge before he bandaged the hole in my elbow.
When you take the plunge on your bike.....just let us know. This is my 3rd time....and of course the worst. But it's been almost 5 years.....so not too bad.
Hugs
Charlie

Oh good - the watermelon made it! Having a busted watermelon on top of taking a fall just wouldn't be fair.
When I take the plunge I'll be sure to let you know. I ride an Electra Townie (cruiser bike). We went to the park this morning and I rode hills - I'm exhausted! With gas prices like they are we're considering how to do even more things on a bike. TJ got up at 5:30 one day this past week and rode his bike 16.2 miles (round trip) to return a Block Buster video. We've considered light grocery shopping on our bikes but haven't done that yet. I have seat post rack on the back of my bike with the elastic cords to lock things in. I've always wanted a basket though. For grocery shopping we may have to get a bike trailer too! =)
