Just have sex on the treadmill, that should count.  Or in the pool.  Or better yet on the bike trail.  You can do it!! I know my exercise isn't much yet, but I'm working up to it.  I know if I start out with a bang, I will get sick of it in a day or two and give up.  This way I keep just trying to work a little harder the next day.  It makes sense to me and seems to keep me going.  I've never worked out for three days in a row.  Sad but true.

Hello Gina, Happy Birthday and congrats on being off bp meds!!! I went to the Dr. today for my 1 mo. post op. I have been feeling lousy all week. Have had diarrehea all week and it's made me very weak and tired. I thought it was from the dumping syndrome. Told Dr.  about my 2 restaurant outings with having broccoli on one occasion and terriaki on my chicken the next . He said that with dumping you don't have diarrehea and he said he felt I had the flu. Gave me reglan syrup for nausea. They did blood work and it turned out ok. Thought that I would have to go in hosp. for dehydration but got lucky.  Finaly feel a little better. On a better note... I'm down 31lbs. I just stayed on protein shakes today. I'm not allowed to eat most of all the good stuff that ya'll are allowed. Will love to have a wrap, or fruit or salad. God it's so hard. I miss food. But I know it will get a little better in 6 mo. I'm supposed to start back to work on Mon. Hope I have the stamina. Good luck to all and God Bless Michele

Hey Michele, hoping you feel better real soon.  You are going to do great back at work.  Make sure you have plenty of food you can eat and a few backups too, like soups that are quick to make and oatmeal is quick and easy too.  Your doing wonderfully,  Gina  :  )

Hi Gina, Feeling a little better today, The Reglan for nausea has helped and diarrehea has stopped. Dr. said it was the flu. Wish I could have soup and oatmeal. Not even allowed that or any snacks . Just 3 meals per day no snacking. Been existing on eggs, cheese, chicken, turkey, shrimp, some cottage cheese yuk. I'm supposed to have lots of fish but not crazy about fish. Breakfast and lunch will be the hardest.

I'm still up QTMCMOM!  I can't believe it is Gina's birthday!  That is so random that I just happened to ask when her birthday was.  I knew we were similar ages.  Sounds like you had a great day of eating! Have a great night! Lisha

Happy Friday, everyone! Happy Birthday to Ms. Pretty In Pink (aka Gina...) and Happy Birthday to ME (Terrific In Teal).  I'm 52 today.  I guess I'm one of the "furthest" ones out from surgery here and the OLDEST, too.

Last night  (Thursday) at "Bonefish Grill" (Hubby and my friend who has lost 190 pounds+) took me out for my "big day" after my support group.  Yummy in my tummy!  Alas, I wander (as usual).  But the waiter swore he thought I was still in my thirties. Lovely young man! He sure knows how to lie! I told my friend to give him a huge tip just for that.  Anyway, he later brought out a complimentary creme brulee...and I didn't eat a single bite nor did it bother me.  MWH (my wonderful hubby) ate it all. It's times like that that I think that my doctor performed brain surgery on me, too!

After that, my husband and I spent almost two hours grocery shopping at our local "Harris-Teeter".  I have to read all the labels on everything.  Plus, I was on a "treasure hunt" for some variety in my food choices.  I think I did pretty well for the day (except for breakfast...SOS...SAME OLD SHAKE).

Heeeere's what I ate:

Breakfast: Protein Shake Made With Water, Vanilla Powder & Crystal Light, 1/2 Cup Cheerios

Very Late Lunch (I slept very, very late): Six Bites Of Salad, 2 Grilled Shrimp, 2 Grilled Scallops, 1 Tiny Bite Of Friend's Flounder, 1/4 Cup Mixed Zucchini, Red Pepper & Squash

Snack:  1 Cracker Barrel 2% Cheddar Cheese Stick

Supper (Re-Heated): 2 Grilled Shrimp, 1 Grilled Scallop, 1/4 Cup Mixed Zucchini, Red Pepper & Squash

Snack: 1/4 Cup Kashi (Summer Berry Flavor) Mixed With 1 Container Weigh****cher's Strawberry Yogurt

4 Bottles Water (16.9 oz. each),  1 12 oz. Glass,  1/2 Bottle Isopure-Pineapple Orange  Banana

Total Proteins:  70.8 (Suggested Goal Per Day: 68-86 Grams)
