Thanks for the update Holly.  I am so worried about her.  I have been praying for her all this time.  I am so hopeful that they can get this panni off of her and get her out of pain.  I do hope that she is not havaing other major issues that is going to prevent all of this.  My prayers are with her.

I tend to be a lurker, but I always love Val's posts and her point-of-view.  Thanks so much for telling us what's going on, Holly.  Please keep posting updates.

Be safe and well, B.B.

Yikes this is scary stuff for her. I've followed her posts and thought to myself that I didn't think she was well enough for another surgery. I think (based on her own posts) that she should be in a healthier place before she goes under the knife for a pannus removal. I'm just thinking in terms of a lady here who had a pannus removal and passed away. Plastic surgery is no game, it is a very serious surgery. I've had 4 not including my RNY and I go into each one knowing full well I could have serious complications. Wouldn't her being in CCU be cause enough for concern that a PS procedure would not be a option right now? I realise the burden of a huge pannus having lived with one myself but my plastic surgeon was ADAMANT that I was healthy enough lab wise to go under the knife.  I am just kind of perplexed that her doctors would even consider that at this juncture....

A pannus removal isn't appropriate at this time.  Though just last week and for a good couple of months before that she was fine. The pannus removal is not for aesthetic reasons.  She can hardly stay on her feet due to the weight of the pannus, and the lack of balance it creates.  Also, it is now swelling with water and the bottom of it has gotten hard across and around. Of course, I've never taken my PSs as anything but serious, as I know Val does. Thanks for your concern.
